A way to pursue your research further are projects. Charles University in Prague offers to students modest funding for their own, initial small projects. My research focuses on the ancient Egyptian metallurgy and I have applied for projects in that directions.
I have been successful in receiving funding for several of my projects. They had an international outreach and involved international partners, I have been principal investigator in these projects:
- 2015-2016 Grant Agency of Charles University, Grant No. 38715 “Early copper metallurgy in Ancient Egypt – a case study of the material from Ägyptisches Museum der Universität Leipzig”
- 2015-2016 project „Cultural techniques: materiality, mediality and imagination“, subproject “Early copper metalurgy in Ancient Egypt – a case study of the material from Kunsthistorisches Museum Wien”
- 2012-2014 Grant Agency of Charles University, Grant No. 526112 “Ancient Egyptian copper objects up to the end of the Middle Kingdom”
Besides the projects on the ancient metallurgy, I have been also working on the field project at Abusir, of the Czech Institute of Egyptology.
